After I downloaded windows service pack 2 my computer takes a long time to
come up. I asked this before but I would like to know if it would make a
difference if I saved it to a disk and then installed it.

I don't know if yuo get option of download location.
You can get SP2 CD free by requesting from MS website. No ship cost either.
