Hi guys,
I'm having problems with my newly installed windows XP.
I registered it the moment it was installed but everytime I try to connect
to windows.com using internet explorer, i get the following message :

"The requested lookup key was not found in any active activation context".

This essentially bars me from using any of microsoft's services, including
downloading messenger.
The message also displays when the automatic update has finished downloading
an update, what is going on?

What 3rd party software have you installed? Particularly any anti-spam,
anti-popup, AV software, etc.? A Google search indicates this is bad
programming, and I have never seen this on a clean installation of XP.

This error may be related to IE7. Did you just install it?

No suggestions as you failed to quote the OP that described the problem.
