why would the electronic program guide only show channels 2 thru 49?
I can watch channels higher than 49 in media center.  also, when I
arrow up to advance to the next channel, 49 is the highest channel
that can be viewed.

thanks,

It shows what the EPG data provider thinks is your channel lineup for the
video source you choose.

Where are you located, how many channels do you expect to see, and what is
your tv source (i.e. how is media center seeing your tv source)?

New Jersey. Verizon FIOS service.  The Verizon FiOS TV Lineup lists up
to 999 channels.

Hauppauge WinTV tuner card
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1800 1129 NTSC/ATSC/QAM/FM Tuner Card PCI Express
X1 - WhiteBox - Retail http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=3DN82=

In this case Verizon would be the EPG data provider? I do see a ballon
in Vista from time to time saying it is downloading the TV schedule.

thanks,
