can't get answer from dsl service or computer manufacturer if downloading
service pack 2 still causes problems? when service pack originally came out
our computer crashed and didn't take download which resulted in having to
reload all of software. will these same problems occur since support for
service pack one ends in october of 2006?

What version of Media Center are you using? The 2005 version already has SP2
built in, attempting to install it could lead to problems.

From the Media Center main menu, choose Settings and About. This will show
the version of Media Center, do not check the properties of "My Computer",
this will show the version of the underlying XP operating system (although,
I think it does says whether or not SP2 is installed).
