I have an installation of Media Centre with two user profiles. I have 2
Xbox 360's and have connected each successfully to the Media Centre
however not all shared folders can be seen.
Profile 1 was set up first to the first 360 going to
www.xbox.com/pcsetup and installing the media connect app. This Xbox
can see the files in the media folders of My Documents and those in the
shared folders.
After logging into the second profile on the PC and switching on the
360 a notification told us it was detected and went through the same
setup and connect procedure. Again the default folders were shared (My
Document folders and the Shared folders). In each case all devices were
allowed access to these shares.
The problem is that the second 360 can only see the Shared Music,
Shared Videos, etc. regardless of what is added to the sharing list in
the media connect app in either profile.
There are two other observations that may be of issue. Profile 2's My
Documents has its security set to prevent other users looking at the
files within. This may explain why the 360 can't see the files but not
why it can't see other folders without security.
Also the device list shows three 360's although I can see from the MAC
address that the third device is the wireless bridge attached to the
second 360

Double-checking - is this with the Windows Media Connect functionality on
your Xbox 360? (vs. the Media Center Extender functionality)

I'm not sure what you mean by by Media Center Extender functionality
and the Windows Media Connect functionality is on the XP Media Centre
computer not the 360.
I added the 360 by going through the 360 menu and then going to
www.xbox.com/pcsetup when instructed and following the prompts.
If you mean that the shares I am making are the ones that show in the
media connect application that the pcsetup routine installs then yes.

When you go to the Media blade, do you select music to play by clicking the
Music button or the Media Center button?
Also, which version of Media Center is running on your Media Center PC? To
check, launch Media Center, select Settings --> General --> About Media
Center --> Software Version.

I am going in via the Media Centre button.
My version of Media Centre on the PC is 5.1.2715.2783
(xpsp(wmbla).051026-1342) Update Rollup 2
For no obvious reason when I went into My Videos and My Pictures it
asked me if I wanted to add folders. I did this and I had a full set of
media for all areas of the Media Centre PC. It didn't ask me this when
I went into My Music but I found that pressing the info button on the
remote allowed me to select add folders. This worked. I did however
note that some of these folders were no longer listed when switching on
the 360 later in the day but they could be re-added.
I should note that the folders I added were not on the list of folders
allowed to be shared by the Media Connect app. For example, I added the
whole of the C: drive and this appeared as a folder that I could browse
for media in My Pictures from the 360.
