I have Windows Media Center running on Vista SP2, on a brand new
CyberPower PC with an Avermedia TV tuner card.
In Windows Media Center, the following sequence of selections always
causes it to crash:
Settings
TV
Configure your TV or Monitor
Watch Video
Any idea what's wrong?

Look at the Event Viewer to find out clues.

OK, I did,
but I don't know how to interpret the results. Here's what Event Viewer
has under Windows Logs\Application:
Event 1001, Windows Error Reporting
Fault bucket 769581512, type 5
Event Name: CLR20r3
Response: None
Cab Id: 0
Problem signature:
P1: ehshell.exe
P2: 6.1.1000.18273
P3: 486c7eca
P4: Microsoft.MediaCenter.UI
P5: 6.0.6000.0
P6: 4a957597
P7: 1078
P8: 11e
P9: MYAATIFIWEYUEBF3DHIQD00N553RUCBH
P10:
Attached files:
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB274.tmp.version.txt
These files may be available here:

Microsoft's Events and Errors Message Center had no help for this.
I know that ehshell.exe is the Microsoft Media Center shell--and that's
what I was interacting with when MMC crashed.
I also know that Microsoft has a hotfix for ehshell.exe on XP. But I
haven't seen one for ehshell.exe on Vista.

Event Name: CLR20r3 is a .net related error message
You can google CLR20r3 for related articles or simply try uninstalling .net
then reinstall.
