I have a Leadtek Winfast DTV1000 T card which includes dual HDTV tuners.
(Product Page:
http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/tv_tuner/overview.asp?lineid=6&pronameid=220 )
However, I haven't found any way to make Media Center recognise both tuners
- in fact since upgrading from Vista Beta 2 to RC1 a menu item about setting
up tuners seems to have disappeared.

It recognises and uses the card just fine (although changing channels is
very sluggish and I can't get sound from some HD channels) but it can only
use one tuner - I can't record one thing and watch another.

I realise that these problems could be avoided simply by using the software
that comes with the card, however it's ugly and unstable.

Can anyone help?

PS: The card also came with a remote control and an IR receiver that plugs
into the back of the tuner card itself, not via USB. Can I set up Media
Center to use that? How?

I can find nothing at the Leadtek site that says that the card contains 2 TV
tuners in fact the picture of the card only shows one physical tuner box.

  JW,
I noticed that myself, thought it was odd. But what the website does mention
is that it supports Picture-in-picture and Picture-and-picture - in the
Winfast PVR software I can literally watch two channels at once if I want, or
I can record one and watch another. I assume that means it has dual tuners.
Unfortunately I (or rather, a certain obsessively neat and tidy family
member) seem to have misplaced the box it came in so I can't confirm that
though.

thanks,
Jono

In looking at the user manual it implied that PIP could only be used if one
of the sources is from a recorded program or video or from the video input
connection on the card

It's a DVB-T card. Correctly written software will allow you to access all
channels on a single frequency or multiplex (MUX). Unfortunately MCE does not
have that feature.
