  DOUG.......THANKS!  You guys are Awesome!

1. Still trying to figure out if there is a test to see if the IR emmiters
are working.

2. Still trying to find out if the IR USB Receiver needs to be restet or the
Computer Rebooted after you initially plug in the emmiter.

3. Still trying to figure out which port I should plug the emmiter into for
operating a single set top box?  Port 1 or does it matter. Reason I ask is I
can only get either of the two emmiters that came with it to light up in Port
2 when I push the channel numbers. Could my IR Reciever be bad?

Thank you,

Michael

If the emitters are working, you can see the the red light of the emitter
flash when you change channel on the MCE remote.

As several folks have mentioned, that depends on the emitters; you may or
may not see a light when it is working. If it does not flash, then I suppose
if you have a camcorder with IR Nightshot, you could point that at the
emitter and see if it flashes.

Normally, if the Windows says the usual "Found new hardware, Installing new
hardware, Device installed..." message, like other USB devices, then no you
don't need to restart, but if you think that is a problem, then spend the 60
seconds and restart the PC to be on the safe side.

Have you established it is a IR controlled STB as Doug suggested?

You will need to run back through TV setup, and it wouldn't hurt to
unplug/re-plug the receiver or reboot the PC anyway.
