Can anybody help me with this message?
VIDEO ERROR
Files needed to display Video are not installed or not working
correctly
Please restart Media Center andor restart the Computer.
I have been running MCE2005 rollup2 for about a year now and have had no
problem like this until now.
I have done some research on this Newsgroup and also googled this error
message but got no definitive answer. The nearest I got was that it had
something to do with DVD decoders or a problem with the Video Drivers.
My ATI Radeon Video Driver is up to date but how to I know a DVD decoder is
installed correctly?
Please can anybody help me with this? The more detailed help the better and
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx for any help.

This will tell you what is set as your default decoder and if it's
compatible with Media Center.

I have just downloaded that utility shortly after I posted and it says my
decoder is up to date and working OK. I am also getting this Message
ehshell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id = 0x2778(10104) Thread id = 0x277c(10108)

Are you running Service Pack 2? If not install it, if you are running SP2
save this as a
batch file and run it then reboot.
regsvr32 /s atl.dll
%windir%\ehome\ehSched.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehSched.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehRecvr.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehRecvr.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehRec.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehRec.exe /service
%windir%\ehome\ehmsas.exe /unregServer
%windir%\ehome\ehmsas.exe /service
