I did a System Recovery of my XP Media Center using the discs I originally
made. I used disc 1 of 3. At the end I got the message "Congratulations
you're ready to go! Your operating system has been successfully installed.
Click finish to complete installing your PC's software." MY PROBLEM is that
that was over two hours ago. The hourglass has been stationary all this
time, but the CPU seems to hum for a while, then go silent, then hum, etc.
The light blinks or stays on. I tried at first seveal hours ago to use disc
2 of 3 and boot into Safe Mode, but the computer said that the setup files
were not completed and I should complete that first. So now I have been
waiting over two hours and I don't know if something is happening or not.

I'm trying to figure which newsgroup would be the best to help you with
your issue. Maybe microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.
Or microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment. I just looked at the
group list and found that - I have no idea if the experts (we hope)
there can help you.
