Screen resolution for widescreen monitor ?

  My screen res was set to 1440 x 900 which is correct for a widescreen
monitor, Now it has suddenly reverted back to  800 x 600 and the option of
1440 x 900 is not in the options on the slider bar to change back. Help ?????

 The Display Properties doesn't give you resolutions higher than 800x600?
Sounds like its reverted to VGA mode. I'd suggest downloading the latest
Media Center drivers (from nvidia.com or ati.com) and reinstalling them.

I've also seen this happen if the motherboard needs a driver for its AGP
slot, if you have an AGP graphics card...

  Thanks, It shows plenty of options up to 2048 x 1536 but the res I need 1440
by 900 is not in the list ? Andrew

 Which graphic card do you have?Update the driver,visit the
manufacturer's site to download and install the latest driver.
