Built a new system using a Gigabyte 8I865GME-775-RH, pentium D 3.2, 2 gig of
pv3200DDR mushin, SB Xfi- gamer, SATA maxtor driver and Seagate EIDE drive.
The problem occurs as soon as a game is either installed or started. Blue
screen of death, Reboot, go to microsoft website, get general info on
IRQ_LESS_THAN error message. Do have mini dump files but do not have reader
for it, also getting this report in system log: Error code 1000000a,
parameter1 07f93124, parameter2 0000001c, parameter3 00000000, parameter4
8050184f.
Upon refering this up on microsofts website, the closest is the ACPI
problem, but the n is missing from the first entry.
Forced intel chipset drivers to reinstall for motherboard, After doing
that, now get same blue screen after pc has been idle for a couple hours,
when I wiggle my mouse blue screen os present.
Really need to try and nail this down, been pounding my head on it for a
week with no results other than it now not crashing while playing a game.
Please, any help is really apprecitated

Glenn

Are you using USB for anything?

I have seen that IRQ_LESS_THAN error message when the USB did not have a
correct driver.
Windows Service Pack 2 fixed most of the problems in Windows XP.

And I think MCE 2005 with Rollup 2 also has the SP2 built in.

Thanks for the reply, after hunting up and down my system for logs, found out
that the error messages were occuring apporx 30sec after I woke my system.
Found a setting in the bios that controled power conservation and disabled
it. Have not had that error message again.
Will have to find out more on why that is happening, but at the moment it is
a workaround for me.
