I updated a few days ago and now media center cannot do TV. I have the
mediacenter edition so it all came preloaded. I would ike to either A-
reinstall mediacenter with out doing a restore B-undo the last update C-try
anything you suggest.
I get no error messages. When I click anything that has to do with tv
(recorded TV, live TV, configure TV) media center simply quits responding.
Also, as long as I keep the "frozen" media center open, other things act up.
For instance, the start menu won't disapear when I take the cursor away, I
have to click the start button again. My tuner's driver works fine I can use
it with other programs. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Providing some more information would help.
What version of Media Center (XP, Vista, 7).
Some basic system info would help also.
All other aspects of MC work (pictures, music, etc.)?
You said you updated a few days ago, updated what?
Have you tried using System Restore to set the system back to a time before
the problem.

Go for a System Restore. Select any restore point when everything was fine.

I have XP media center edition, fully updated, and I had just done the
automatic windows update.
My computer works fine in every otherway the TV tuner works fine in windows
movie maker. Media center simply freezes when I try to access TV (live or
recorded) media center works fine for every other function.

Have you tried a system restore which has already been recommended?
