This is my second TV tuner that I'm trying to get working. It is a pinnacle
PCTVHD pro stick that does ATSC, NTSC, and clear QAM. My system is a 64-bit
Vista Ultimate with plenty of power.
Anyhoo, I'm going crazy trying to set it up. The software it came with can
use it fine, but not Media Center (which pinnacle claims is compatible).
Here's what I get when I run the TV Signal setup wizard:
Confirm Your Region --> Download TV Setup Options (takes a few seconds) -->
Automatic TV Signal Setup (I select "I will manually configure my TV
signal") --> Guide download and terms of service --> Enter zip code
(98002) --> Download TV Program Guide --> Digital TV Antenna Strength...
At this point I'm wondering why did it think I have a digital antenna
attached to it? I didn't select anything. If I go back a few steps, I see
a different screen in the Guide section that says "Select TV Signal
Provider". All that is there is "Antenna".
How can I tell Media Center that I have analog and digital cable as my
signal type?
Thanks in advance to whomever responds! I'm definitely going insane!

I had a similar problem. Try automatically configuring your TV signal
instead of doing it manually. I think the auto configuration will detect all
source options that you have connected.

Yeah, I tried that. Same deal-io. It thinks there's an Antenna attached.
:(
I know there's a signal as the pinnacle software can get all the analog and
digital channels just fine... :(
Thx.

If you are using an antenna, how is your signal being received?
If you are using s-video from a box, you may need to manually configure it.
That is only a single tuner, so it will receive analog or digital.

One other thing - have you gone to the Pinnacle site and downloaded any
newer Media Center-specific drivers?
