Media Center cant find my messenger live 8.1

  As I have upgraded to messenger live I can no longer wiev my messages as Im
running the TV in media center. With messenger 5.XX there was an info window
popping up in the right corner as someone wrote me a message. Now when Im
starting up the media center theres an information window tellng me that
messenger 5.2 (?) could not be found.

Do I have to go back to messenger 5.xx to run it in media center?
