If you are connecting directly from Xbox to the Computer, you probably need
a Crossover cable.
A Crossover cable swaps the receive and send connections on the two ends.

I am not so sure about this...because even if I connect through the router
the software does not work. I have been busy for seven days dedicated to
solving the issue with Xbox techs as well as Norton and Linksys and no luck.
Some of the media center software updates are also giving error msgs.
I do have a ticket now in with Microsoft tech .....not sure what to do?
