Hello - I read a lot of these posts and got some good information, but not
the information I was exactly looking for. I appreciate any help you guys
can give me.
I have a dual tuner TV card (Hauppauge PVR PCI II 23xxx) in a Windows Vista
Ultimate system. I had it set up where both tuners were using direct coax
NOT through a cable box and it worked great. I could record two channels at
once with no conflicts or problems.
Now, I'm getting some higher channels (99+) that I need a cable box to view.
So I want one tuner to use the cable box and the other to simply use the
channel 2-99 coax straight from the wall.
In the 'Select a Working TV Signal' window I get both the cable box picture
(Composite Video 1) and the direct coax picture (Channel 2), but when setting
them up past this point it asks me for an IR cable for both connections. The
direct coax picture (Channel 2) does not need an IR cable since it's
connected directly to the wall.
How can I set this up? I'd really like to not have to pay for a second
cable box.

Can't do it... All tuners must use the same signal.

Two boxes, or none... that's your only choices.
Oh, that sucks. Thanks for the fast answer though. :)

the tuner actuation is random. you can not determine which tuner will record
what channel. The system decides. Thats why you need a mirrored config going
into the tuner set.
