Does anyone know of a novel type of PC case, that would actually allow
easy access to the disk drives, mobo and so forth?

I'm thinking I'd like to get a HTPC type of case, but I'm open to any
type of novel solution.  At this point, off-the-shelf cases really leave
me disappointed.

Anyone using a rack for a home system?

I LIKE it, Bill. :-) (the rack pix)There are several roomy boxes out.
I have a thing called iCute. Bought in Maplin's for, I think about =A330-
=A335 with quite a bit of "hand room" etc. Cuts down on the skint
knuckles & blood drops all over the m'board. :-)

But how can any PC work without the requisite blood sacrifice?  :)

Seriously though, having good "hand room" usually also means having enough space
to tuck ribbon cables out of the airflow and allow an empty slot between HDDs,
leading to a cooler and more reliable system.

It's a good idea but I'd be scared because it isn't protected...what
about dust and stuff?....It just seems way too exposed!
