Share External Drive?

 

I have an external drive set up as shared and modifiable on one
computer and want to access it from a LAN'ed  second computer via
Network Places.  XP tells me it cannot do it - says i don't have
permissions.

Since I can do the same for an internal hard drive, which means my
networking should be okay, I wonder what is wrong?

Anyone?
