Is there such a place or do I have to visit the BIOS and make notes of
the settings?
Having all the settings in one file would help. I have found an update
for the BIOS and want a fallback position in case of a mess.

The OP in that thread decided to follow what is pretty much the only
reliable solution. He chose to take digital snaps of the BIOS setup
screens. You'll see why from the comments.
