Help opening Port 13

Want to use Atomic ClockSync from Chaos Software (downloaded from
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/).

Application needs to have Port 13 open to run. When I attempt to launch
application it states it is blocked by a firewall.

I am not using Windows Firewall (it is off).

I am using McAfee Security Center with the McAfee firewall from Comcast
cable.

McAfee tech support gave instructions to open Port by creating an
Exception in settings for their firewall - printed their reply -
followed directions exactly - restarted system - application still does
not run.

I am running Windows Professional SP-2.

The application is enabled on the Run entry in the registry.

Should I try to uninstall MacAfee Firewall application and use
ZoneAlarm as my firewall?

Your assistance would be most appreciated.

have a hardware firewall in use. When devices outside of your network
are looking for port 13 to be open, they are in effect asking your
router for that access. Reasonably, though, your router is not
accepting requests for port 13. You should be able, however, to
"forward" the port to a specific PC in your local network.

The closest product, that I can find a manual to, is the DI-524. Click
"Product Manual" to get to some links for PDF versions of the manual.
There are a bunch of different revisions, so you might have to download
a couple before you find one that matches your unit.

At any rate, the manual will talk about configuring a "Virtual Server."
That allows you set up ports that the router will expose, and name the
PC that will handle those requests. Port forwarding to the rest of the
world. I notice that there are a fair amount of forum messages from
DL-524 users complaining that they can't get their P2P programs to work,
so I hope there's not some sort of endemic problem with that unit.
